Getting the ball from glove to hand and to second base fast. Timed with a stopwatch as pop time.

Set up

Catcher at the plate, middle infielder covering second, a coach with a stopwatch.

You need: Stopwatch, catcher gear, base

Steps

  1. Ten exchanges with no throw, glove to ear
  2. Ten jab-pivot footwork reps, no throw
  3. Eight throws to second, timed from catch to catch
