Pitcher fields a ball hit back at him and starts the double play to the shortstop at second.

Set up

Steps

1. Pitcher throws a pitch to the catcher
2. Coach hits a ground ball back to the pitcher
3. Pitcher fields and throws to the shortstop at second
4. Shortstop turns it to first, back of the line, ten each

Coaching points

• Glove up as you finish the pitch
• Turn to second, throw to the bag
• Shortstop gets there early
