Set up
Shortstop and second baseman at their positions. Coach behind the mound with a bucket.
You need: Gloves, bucket of balls, base
Steps
- Coach rolls a ground ball slightly to the shortstop's left
- Field it forehand, keep moving towards second
- Flip underhand to the second baseman covering, staying low
- Ten, then swap
Coaching points
- Flip on a line to the chest, medium speed
- Stay low through the flip
- Use the momentum towards the bag
Adjust it
HarderSecond basemen can do the same flipping to first.
