On a ball to his right, the second baseman fields moving to the bag and flips to the shortstop covering.

Set up
Second baseman and shortstop at their positions. Coach near home with a bat and a bucket.
You need: Gloves, bat, bucket of balls, base
Steps
- Coach hits a ground ball to the second baseman's right
- Field it moving towards second
- Flip underhand to the shortstop covering the bag
- Ten, then swap positions
Coaching points
- Flip on a line, medium speed, to the chest
- Keep moving towards the bag through the flip
- Shortstop gets to the bag early
