The shortstop and second baseman feed each other at second base and turn the throw to first.

Set up
Shortstop, second baseman, first baseman, coach with a fungo or rolling balls.
You need: Fungo, balls, bases
Steps
- Ball to the shortstop, feed to the second baseman at the bag
- Second baseman turns and throws to first
- Swap: ball to the second baseman, feed the shortstop
- Ten each way
Coaching points
- Feed at chest height, firm but catchable
- The feeder shows the ball early
- One clean throw to first is better than a rushed one
Common mistake. A feed thrown too hard from close range.
Adjust it
