Pop-ups behind the plate drift back towards the field. Catchers turn their back to the infield to read them.

Set up

Steps

1. Coach sends a pop-up
2. Catcher finds the ball, removes the mask and holds it
3. Turns their back to the infield
4. Throws the mask away once they know where the ball will land, and catches

Coaching points

• Find the ball first, then the mask comes off
• Back to the infield
• Catch above your head
